Public Outreach

Public understanding of biotechnology is critical to the growth of the life sciences industry in Illinois. Practically every day, congress debates issues that affect the public availability of powerful new biotech drugs. The citizens of Illinois must understand biotechnology so they can make informed personal decisions and provide input on science topics to their elected representatives.

iBIO Institute provides public programming on biosciences and careers in the biosciences.

Through its support of iBIO Breakfast Series events, and new programs on careers in the biosciences for the Finding Your Future project, the Institute’s programs will impact thousands of people each year.
